About Ms. Cheryl’s Piano Studio

  • At Ms. Cheryl’s Piano Studio, piano lessons are about more than learning to play music — they are about building confidence, creativity, and lifelong skills in a nurturing and encouraging environment.

    As a dedicated private piano teacher, my purpose is to guide students in discovering the joy of music while developing focus, persistence, and personal growth. Piano study becomes a pathway not only to musical fluency, but to independence, discipline, and a lifelong love of learning.

    Whether your child is just beginning beginner piano lessons or you are an adult returning to music, each student receives individualized instruction designed to inspire success at their own pace.

Are We A Good Fit?

Here’s a quick overview so you can see right away if my studio is a good fit:

• Ages: 4–94
• Lesson format: Weekly private lessons in my home studio
• Tuition: $175 per month
• Location: South Jacksonville (Baymeadows/Mandarin area)

I specialize in families (and adult students!) who are looking for consistent weekly lessons and long-term musical growth.

FLEX LESSONS EXPLAINED

Flex lessons are built into the studio calendar as a special benefit for families. They may be used in two ways:

  • As a bonus lesson for extra enrichment

  • As an opportunity to make up a lesson if your student needs to miss a regular scheduled time

This system provides flexibility while keeping a consistent teaching schedule for everyone. Flex lessons are a great benefit to you and help ensure your child receives the maximum value from their piano study.

STUDIO REMINDERS

  • Please arrive on time for lessons so we can use every minute wisely.

  • If you need to miss a lesson, thank you for giving advance notice whenever possible.

  • Flex lessons are the designated times for makeup and bonus instruction.

  • For students attending in person, a new handwashing routine is now in place. Please wash your hands before and after each lesson.

The Carol Matz book is easy to understand that anyone without piano knowledge can easily understand and follow along to help their beginner. We purchased the hard copy to write in, but also available as a digital. Highly recommend this class!
