Let’s Make Learning The Piano A Joyful Experience!
My journey has always been guided by a deep love for music and teaching.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of inspiring students in traditional classrooms and through transformative experiences abroad. Teaching in countries such as Japan and Germany enriched my perspective and broadened my teaching methods, allowing me to blend cultural insights with proven educational practices.
These global experiences not only strengthened my appreciation for music’s universal language but also gave me the ability to connect with students of all ages, backgrounds, and learning styles—helping each one discover confidence, creativity, and joy at the piano.
Whether you're a novice eager to strike the first chord or an experienced player seeking to refine your skills, my virtual and in-person lessons are tailored to your specific needs and aspirations.

What Parent’s Are Saying

Teacher Cheryl is really kind and patience with the kids at 5 years old. Especially, at this age, the attention span is so short, and not easy to keep them engaged. However, Teacher Cheryl handled them very well and they have so much fun with it. The lesson not only learning how to sit and play piano but also incorporates movement, dance, learning notes which is fun for young kids.

Ms. Cheryl is not only patient but also very enthusiastic with kids of all ages! She's kind, encouraging, and knowledgeable. My child has excelled in her learning under Ms. Cheryl's guidance and instruction.

Such a great class! My 5 year old always looks forward to it! He’s learning so much about piano and making music on his own.
-
Perfect class if you are looking to start a very young child with piano lessons! Ms. Cheryl is so patient, kind, and fun to work with! My son is learning so much and advancing so quickly! The material is so age appropriate and holds his attention as well. I highly recommend this class…she is phenomenal!

Ms. Cheryl was patient while teaching piano over Zoom -- not the easiest subject to teach through the screen! She gave praise when needed to help build confidence, and learned the strengths of her students. We had a good experience for our first time in piano and would recommend her as a teacher.
-
Ms. Cheryl is wonderful, our son enjoys her classes. She is patient, warm, enthusiastic and caring. Also, she is great with redirecting if necessary. Our son started when he was 5 and we have been learning with Ms. Cheryl for almost 2 years now. We learned a lot and looking forward to journey more into the piano world with Ms. Cheryl.

Ms. Cheryl is amazing with my daughter. She has been taking lessons for over a year with her. She has been so patient and engaging with my daughter it's been incredible to see how much she has learned and retained. Definitely recommend!

My son loves his lessons with Cheryl. She's happy and engaging and keeps him entertained. 30 minutes is just right. He is a beginner and while I am available if needed, he's typically one on one the whole time without my help. She switches screens between her, the book, and they keys to make it very easy to understand. He looks forward to his lesson each week! The Carol Matz book is easy to understand that anyone without piano knowledge can easily understand and follow along to help their beginner. We purchased the hard copy to write in, but also available as a digital. Highly recommend this class!

Ms. Cheryl is a wonderful person and piano teacher. She has lots of patience and is sweet with my children, ages 7 & 9, but also sets expectations and encourages their growth. In the few short weeks they’ve been taking lessons, I have seen lots of improvement and a new love and excitement for music. I am also enjoying adult lessons with her and have learned so much! She is very knowledgeable about music and the piano, is a very experienced teacher. She implements awesome books, tools and technologies in her training and practice assignments.

Ms. Cheryl is wonderful and engaging with my 8 year old son! He has learned so much so fast and is so excited about piano. The ease of having lessons on zoom has been wonderful with our busy schedules and three kids in many activities. She has been flexible and has great communication. We feel greatly for the opportunity to work with Ms. Cheryl and expose our son to her music lessons!
